Nick and Juli Sims
This page is mostly for anyone who doesn't know us, but, since we're not expecting anyone who doesn't already know us to look at this blog at all - it's more for friends and family who want to know where we are and what we're up to - it's hard to know what to write.
Well, basic facts first. We're a married (Nov. 2002) couple from England, UK, currently living in the North East, though, originally, we're from different parts of the South East.
We've done a bit of travelling before and, in fact, met in Cairo, when our two, separate trips (north from Cape Town with Dragoman) combined, continued through the Middle East and on to Kathmandu. That was followed, after a short break to raise more funds, by a second trip from Hong Kong to Beijing, returning to London by train via Moscow, St.Petersburg and Berlin.
That was in 2001/2002. For the next ten years we did very little serious travelling. Then, after a sequence of events - the kind that often cause people to reassess their priorities in life - a plan was hatched to sell up and see a bit more of the world.
